10:27 pm - More surplus computers

Previous Entry Share Next Entry

LJ has proven an effective way to get rid of surplus laptops, so let's see if we have any takers today.

Toshiba Satellite M40, 1.83 GHz Pentium M processor, 100 GB hard disk.  Something like 4 or 5 years old, sat on a shelf for the past 3.  In good cosmetic condition.  It has one known defect.  The built-in keyboard will often get into a bad state where keypresses give incorrect characters.  This can be mitigated by using a USB keyboard instead.  Other than that, it works fine.

It's free to the first person who expresses interest.

I'll be in T.O. for FurtureCon/New Years Eve. May I have it? How much RAM does it have?

P.S. We should get together. I would love to catch up with you and your lady.

Sure, it's yours!

I know that it has two RAM slots, and that each can hold 1 GB maximum, so the theoretical total is 2 GB. It had 512 MB out of the factory, and I'm not sure that we ever upgraded it. I'll check the actual machine when I have a minute.
