So, Internet, what does the fashionable gentleman wear to an outdoor unshaded wedding with a forecast temperature of 35 C and 65% humidity?  I'm trying to balance the disrespect of showing up unsuitably casual, with the disrespect of dying during the ceremony and causing a scene.

I'm going to hazard a guess that we're going to the same event - Daniel is wearing a wool suit (uh-oh) but taking the jacket off outside. We were encouraged to bring umbrellas/parasols if necessary. I will be covered in sunblock.

I should add that people were joking about wearing Tilley hats ;)

I shall certainly be wearing a hat, though something a little more stylish than a Tilley. Trying to combine sunscreen and rapidly thinning hair is far too messy.

There's an idea -- somebody should invent sunscreen shampoo. Something that will wash my hair and UV-proof my scalp in one go.

J has a beautiful parasol. Somewhere I have my Old School umbrella *, which is traditional cricket watching attire, but I haven't been able to find it this morning. I suspect I'll end up Mad Max cosplaying this afternoon, and change into something more formal (probably with embroidered flowers, just because it winds people up so much) for the evening.

I should stop faffing about on the Internet and go polish some boots :).

Very nice :). But liquid oxygen as a coolant? That seems like a very bad idea...
