I have my Aviation Medical Exam in couple hours.  Am fighting the urge to go all Alice's Restaurant on the poor doctor.  It took me several tries this morning to find a T-shirt that wouldn't get me immediately kicked out of the psych evaluation.

% He looked at me and said, "Kid, we don't like your kind, and we're gonna send you fingerprints off to Washington."
And friends, somewhere in Washington enshrined in some little folder, is a study in black and white of my fingerprints. %

It was more thorough than fun, but I certainly got my money's worth.

Heh. The next couple weeks are going to be really fun. My (limited) understanding is that in the USA, student pilots do not practice spin recovery. They are simply taught in a classroom that spins are dangerous, and given instruction on what to do if they encounter one.

In Canada we have to practice initiating and recovering from spins, first with an instructor and then solo. I expect to do my first stalls next week, with spins the week after. Eeep!
