I write from London Below. I have a basement ("lower ground") suite in a hotel two minutes from the British Museum. There is so much inlaid wood panelling here that I suspect hidden Harkonen agents with hunter-seekers.

Tomorrow my plan is to visit the street markets and museums while taking no trains at all.

When I was there in 2002 I ended up finding a cool little comic shop within walking distance of the British Museum - http://www.goshlondon.com/. Picked up a local political comic book about George W. Bush, and a boatload of Magic cards.

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain

especially of tasteful oak paneling... ;)
